Solutions to Winter Break Boredom: A Students Perspective
Once classes let out and you can finally forget the way to CLC (until Spring semester that is), you may think that the last thing you want to do is pick up a book of any kind for awhile. However, engrossing yourself in a book is a proven way to not only to relax and unwind due to Holiday stress, but is also a great brain workout to keep your mind working and conditioned for the impending Spring Semester. And with the seasonal weather finally barring us indoors, what better activity screams ‘Tis the Season!’ more than a warm blanket, a book, and a hot cup of anything? Of course if you would rather listen to a story rather than read one, audiobooks, CD’s, and DVD’s are a great alternative! Any library or book store will have winter hours, but for your own knowledge (and for the sake of this blog), I am informing you that the John C. Murphy Library on the Grayslake CLC campus will be open during Winter Break.
