Bypassing recorded messages

Have you heard about Gethuman.com?

No, well get ready to be blown away.

The creators of this website have developed a database of techniques and proven strategies on how YOU the consumer, can bypass recorded phone operators. Their goal --> talk to a human first, not a machine.

Let's say you want to phone Company X, but when you call the 800 number, you can't figure out how to deal with a "real LIVE person."

Enter Gethuman.com

Look up your company name and follow the hints, tips and techniques to reach a real person. If your company is not on the list (yet), check out the TIPS section on "getting to a human."

Truly, it is an admirable task that these volunteers are doing.

This consumer service has been featured in articles in the
Washington Post and the Seattle Times.

from the website:

The gethuman project is a consumer movement to improve the quality of phone support in the US. This free website is run by volunteers and is powered by over one million consumers who demand high quality phone support from the companies that they use.

I read a LOT of blogs and I have got to say that this blog is one of the best. There's always something new, timely, and relevant to me both as a community member and an MLIS student.
Thanks!
