"Passport to a World of Knowledge" offers chance to learn about library and maybe win valuable prizes

During the first two weeks of classes, January 19-29, librarians will be providing 20-minute interactive overviews of library services and procedures to students. These overviews will be provided as needed at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. each weekday at the Reference desk on the second floor of the Grayslake library. These overviews will not be in place of library instruction that we provide to individual classes throughout the semester, but will introduce students to the library as early as possible in the semester. Students will be given a “Passport to a World of Knowledge” sheet with a series of library-related questions. Those who successfully answer all the questions will be entered into a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate. Several gift certificates will be awarded. Please tell your students about this outreach effort. If you have any further questions, please contact a librarian at (847) 543-2701.
