Celebrate National Library Week With Your Friends

April 12-18 is National Library Week, an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. We will have a number of events to highlight the CLC library community.

Monday, April 13 11-noon, Library Atrium. Join us for the First Annual Readers Theater. Students and instructors will be reading passages from their favorite works, including "The Pact" by Davis, Hunt, and Jenkins and "A Place to Stand" by Jimmy Santiago Baca. Join English instructor Mary Ann Bretzlauf, some of her students, and others for this exciting play on words.

Wednesday, April 15 noon--12:30 Library and surrounding area. The Library Drill Cart Team will parade with some decorated carts. Don't miss the Mardi-Gras like excitement. There is sure to be candy, as well.

Thursday, April 16 4 p.m.-- Mark Dowling and his enterprising group of culinary students will be preparing some tasty treats for library users. Share the fun (and the calories) by being near the Reference desk on the second floor of the library.
